Theme Presentations

E.Q: Create a representation of your theme using figures of speech.
Obj: I can use figures of speech to represent theme.

Starter:

Presentation Prep.

Make sure that you are able to answer the following questions for your presentation.

Explain why you chose your theme.
How is the theme present in your book?
Elaborate on what your simile/metaphor stands for.
Explain your representation.

Activity:

1.  Presentations

Five different people will be presenting at the same time.
(I will let you know the order of presenters.)
Those of you who are not presenting will choose which presentations you sit in on.
*Once there are THREE people sitting in on presentation, please choose another person.

Each person will present twice.
You will have 3 minutes to showcase your work.
I will let you know when it is time to switch.

2.   THREE. TWO. ONE.
What are 3 similes/metaphors that you found particularly interesting.
2 things you learned from this activity
1 way to improve activity.

3.  Chunked Pair Reading
This reading will be used for the literature circles tomorrow.

While reading, use sticky notes to keep track of main idea.
Make sure you have one sticky note per page.
