Gatsby Imagery

November 5, 2014

E.Q:  How does imagery impact the text?
Obj: I can determine imagery and use it to describe the text.

Starter:
Great Gatsby is saturated with imagery, and in chapter three you are finally introduced to him.
What is he like?
Use five adjectives that describe his character.
Try to use extremely vivid adjectives.

Vocabulary:
Use the Great Gatsby Vocab document to keep track of this novel's vocabulary.
We will be looking at words16-20

Activity:
Like mentioned in the starter, there is a boatload of imagery in the novel.
Use that imagery to create a storyboard of chapter three.
Consider what the movie would look like for this section.
Each frame should have a caption or dialogue.
This should be done individually.

2.  Movie Clip
How does this compare to what you created in your storyboard?

3.  Read Chapter Four
What we do not finish should be completed for homework.

Closure:
Overall, what was the main idea in chapter three?
